Concerted efforts are made to ensure that the company's managers are equipped with the right skills and resources to treat every employee with trust and respect. All employees are given access to training, management opportunities, mentoring and coaching to ensure they are able to perform their job well.

Managers are made to attend a Respectful Workplace class that emphasises the need for individual differences to be respected, valued, appreciated and utilised.

To maintain age diversity in its workforce, McDonald's senior management team has further issued the directive to hire more mature workers. In fact, hiring managers are assessed and measured on this as part of their performance scorecard system.
