TAFEP celebrates 10 meaningful years of creating fair and inclusive workplaces in Singapore!

A Message From The General Manager

Dear friends & partners, and my colleagues in TAFEP,

This year marks the 10th anniversary of TAFEP. I take great pleasure on this special occasion to thank each and every one of you who has played a part in our journey towards a fair and inclusive workplace.

Our journey began in 2006 when the Tripartite Committee on Employability of Older Workers initiated the setup of TAFEP to address workplace discrimination issues faced by older workers.
We expanded our work scope to workplace discrimination on grounds beyond age, to race, gender, religion, marital status and family responsibilities, or disability, and in the last 5 years, discrimination against Singaporeans.

We started off at a small office space in Chin Swee Road with just 4 staff and have grown to more than 50 strong today. This signifies the importance of TAFEP’s work which has expanded beyond building fair and inclusive workplaces in the early years, to championing and driving the adoption of progressive employment practices at the workplace today.

TAFEP is fully committed to build on this momentum of advancing fair and progressive employment in Singapore. We would not have gone this far and be able to continue on with our journey without your partnership and help. To all who have worked with and supported us, thank you for believing in TAFEP!

Let us continue to work together such that fair, responsible, and progressive employment practices would be an integral part of every workplace, contributing to organisational excellence and the well-being of all employees!
